The scene I chose is when the police are scattered all over the the city. At first it was good because it gave the people of the city hope that the police are out trying to find the killer. The police was everywhere as if they were bacteria. However, it got to a point that they police was just everywhere and terrorizing everyone for no reason and still they was unable to find the killer; and from that point that's when they criminals took it upon themselves to use different tactics to catch the killer.
This scene made me realize that at times you got to becareful of the things you do in life or the decisions one makes, because it may seems at that moment and time to be good, but after awhile it affect everyone around us who we care for.
1. Tactics that were use to captive the killer were very good techniques, and good planning. In Dr. Caligari the police weren't intelligent as they suppose to be.
2. I don't think the killer deserve to die; it's better for them to punish him. Killing someone who already killed another person will not bring any justification because the person is already dead. However, I believe if you do the time you should do the time, and put the killer in a psychiatric ward.
3. The criminal ability to organize themselves to captive Beckert, was very strategic and well planned out, without creating any excitement, and without the police involved. I like how they spread out the beggars as a part of their plan to catch the killer.
4. I would judge the depiction of Nazis as very strategic criminals, but they did what was right by punishing Beckert. The criminals were very crafty in their doings, but at the end they had acknowledged the law to punish the killer.
5. The significance of the media in this film is to inform the public of what's going on in inside in the hidden word, so they can be aware of whats going on. This reminds me of Upton Sinclair on his novel " The Jungle" when he expose the unsanitary conditions in the meat- packing industry and let the public know whats going on.
I believe that the public grew distrustful of the police when the police decided to encroach on the lives of the people in every way possible. In order to end it, the criminals decided to take the matter into their own hands and as we see in the film they were successful in their endeavor.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Sometimes on the wait for social justice and depending on policy to accomplish that, the wait can be very long and never seen. For that reason, so many peple do get tired of waiting can justice is serve by them taking action agains it.
